Thats pretty much what I had figured on. No reason on having cat food all over the inside of the boat. I ran out of coupleings today and use some 45's. It looks a little wierd, but the fish don't care.

Hot glue. I down sized the pieces of pvc from 2" to 1". I found out if you are carefull when drilling you can get a tight fit. I put the pvc in, run a bead of glue, the shove the pvc in the rest of the way. I'm using 1/2 cpvc just because I have a lot of it. Also, you can place a cpvc coupling on the place were the wire goes and glue it and get a tight fit. I like the idea of filling the ball with quick set. It may be possible to put small piece of steel wool on the hole to keep it from running out while it sets.

Thats what I do, drill it so its a tight fit then put glue around it before you push it all the way in. Quickset....like the kind used for setting tile ?

The type used to set wood and metal post. Menard's has 2 types, one sets in 10 min, the other in 30 min. If you put half a cotton ball in the pipe before glueing itin , it should keep the quick set in. I cut off the area where the wire attaches, drilled a hole and will put a pipe and cap in it for filling.

You do know to sand the pvc limbs and add foil to them? Sanding make the algae grow faster and the foil make them show up on a depth finder.

I never thought about the foil. Where do you put it? Inside the legs or outside?

I just read in the main foram that foil doesn't help. Turn the power up on yopur depth finder does. One less thing I have to put on them.

I fish a smaller lake so I dont think i have to worry to much about not finding them. Ive got a spot that I would like to put a couple of these and then some stake beds in another.

Pretty good Idea you have here. I can see there is going to be a run on the Hardware store for floats.
