    Default Big Ole Build Going...

Well we off loaded 800 pounds of cement and made 12 nice Condos...The rebar idea I have is a great one BUT the expense isn't going to allow it. Rebar CUT at HOME DEPOT is .68 per 2 foot section of 3/8". I wanted to use 4 of these in condos to be placed on the river channel...BUT after reviewing the expense it might not be worth it. I know .68 cents isn't much but when you need 4 per condo and are building close to 25 condos that 100 pieces at .68 equals $68 and I hate just throwing money into the lake that way. Already in for PVC and cement expense. Got another 800 pounds to mix up Monday and then do some DROPS!!!

Will include pics of different ideas we tried. Ran out of light today.

So you just piled up concrete in an area on the bottom of the lake. Or am I misunderstanding what you did. I've trown old tree tops and all but will the concrete hold fish. I also like fishing around metal peirs so I'm taking that you were going to make a condo with rebar instead of wooden slates. post some pics I'm up for the info..

    Thanks

    Default Expense

The way the $ add up is exactly why I use bamboo and brush. I still have to buy cinder blocks or cement but thats only about $2 per bundle of boo or brush.

I'd still like to see your idea though.

If you need help putting it out or building it, give me a shout. You can even search the boat for a GPS before we leave the dock.

lol thanks steer. If you want to share in the expense and the time/labor you and I can build some. I have 2 guys that I do it with. Tried to add more folks but they don't end up with any structure and I think it should be 50/50 with the agreement of not telling anyone. Where would you like to build some? How deep of water and how tall of condos...Then where would you like to place them. Do you live close to the lake? We have a Building House at Marble Head JUST across from Fannin Landing.

I'm in, I bought about 700' of 1 1/4 from ace hardware when they dicontinued the schedule 20. I also have a lot of 4-8" pipe thats 3 to 6 feet long. I have some homemade "porcupine attractors" that might interest you. I am in the htg & air industry , I use a lot of used electric motors to weight down pvc. The motors fit snugly into a 6" pipe. I'm available most weekends and after 6 on the week days.
