Dec.2002, Lake Sinclair was down 5 or 6 feet. After reading about pvc condos on crappie.com . I decided to try to put some under the dock instead of out in ftont of it so the kids could still swim and not have to worry about them junping on them or the jet ski hitting them. The water is not really that deep either. 5 to 6 ft. Well I havent ever posted the results. Felt like I should test them over a season or two first. The bream have really increased, drawing more bass.Have caught more crappie than ever. And the largest shellcracker I have ever caught this year,They looked like lake Jackson size .Well here are some pictures I took before the lake filled up.I made it so nothing sticks out from under the dock. There is over 400 ft of pvc under this dock.

I have a question. I have been told, never really tested it, that the PVC has to sit in warm water a while in order to grow algea on it. Then the fish will treat it as if it were wood and come right into it. About how long does this process take? One reason I ask is that I have several pvc attractors out and they never really produce like the bamboo.
I am alway caught between putting bamboo out to attract fish quickly and lasting for a few years or putting pvc out to attract fish later and having it last for ever.
LET IT RIP!
Sand your PVC. It will get algae in less than a month. I have a couple PVC trees hanging underdeep water docks. First one I didn't sand and it has taken over a year to produce. The second one I sanded and it produced in the first month. Just scuff the sheen off with fine sandpaper.
Good info
