    Default sinking bamboo

Figured out a new way to sink the bamboo . Instead of pouring 60 pounds of crete into a 5 gallon bucket and placeing the stalks in it,,,I tryed this yesterday AM. I took 11 stalks about 3/4 round and drilled a hole through all of them. I then ran a small rope through all of them and tied them together. I left about 7 feet of the rope to tie onto the handle of a small bucket I used. I used only 40 pounds of crete and the bamboo was about 15 feet tall This way I can carry everything alot easier on the boat. Tied the rope to the handle and tossed out in front of a tin boat house in 20 to 25 feet of water. Down she went..... The tops are about 3 feet from the surface and the whole thing stays suspended off the bottom about 5 feet. I'm only hoping that because of the air inside the bamboo ,that is stays suspended for a few years and does not sink to the bottom to soon.

Anyone know how long Bamboo lasts??
