    What is the best tool for cutting bamboo? Must be portable. MAYBE SOMETHING BATTERY OPERATED.

    Hacksaw, but hedge trimmers are the best and easiest....

    yep,those limb cutters or tree pruner loppers you get at Home Depot work the best. Your only cutting pieces about 3/4 round anyway.

    To get a truckload QUICK nothing I've used will beat a chainsaw. I started cutting boo with a machete, then loppers, and a hand saw. I was soaking wet with sweat with a half full truck. The chainsaw takes away the work.

    A weed eater with the skill saw blade on it. I think they call it a bush blade. You can cut it as fast as some one can load it on the truck.

    thats what we use. You can mow a patch flat in just a few minutes. Beats bending over with the chainsaw.
