    Default pvc condo placement?

Well guys i posted this up on the main board, but i guess it was the wrong place. had 25 views and 0 answers. thought maybe someone there would help

i'm getting ready to put out three very large pvc condos, they're about nine feet tall by eight feet wide. i have found a spot on the channel where it comes to a very sharp "V" should i put the condos inside the "V" , or outside the "V" on the point. the lake bed is about 25 feet and drops down to 35 at bottom of the channel. what are yall's thoughts. thanks jm

Thumbs up Where the "V" comes to a point

I always prefer the outside of the of the bend or what I would call the belly of the bend. In a river you will always see more drift down in the bend. Seems to me that there would be more bait there also due to the current. Even if there is no current the fish will follow the wall. :D

Outside of the bend.... current will have it washed out and there will be a sharp drop off.... maybe some tree roots there too......
    Good luck......

Sounds like a good spot. PLace it on the outside of the V, but make sure you fish the heck out of that spot. If there isn't any structure on the outside of that V your going to create a really good spot!
I would fish the heck out of that point, then fish the condo last.
Your not fishing, unless your crappie fishing!

They're on the bottom the lake now! That was a major task to say the least. the condos took up the whole 18' boat, hung over 2' on both sides. each condo has 10 uprights 9' long, so i had 30 uprights in the boat. just getting in the boat was a trip, and dropping them in without breaking the things in half, or dumping me in the lake was a chore also. anyway they're down. i then spent a half hour trying to locate them with my dept finder, not gonna happen. my gps is only about 18 foot accurate from what it says with a good signal so i ran several trial runs over it to see if i could find it. nope, nothing to see. so i guess i'll have to just rely on the gps, and hopefully come winter, i'll see the crappie.

The condo will most likely show up after some algae forms on the branches.
