After the storms of the past week, I have several limbs in my yard that I am going try the bucket of concrete method with. Being a firsttimer, is 1 bag of concrete enough to sink them?

I think if you fill the bucket almost full it will work fine.

ceament comes in differen`t size bags . a half 5 gal buckett should sink it well . bamboo takes more becouse between the joints are sealed with air . it will depend on the current to . probabley a couple of cement block will hold them if the limbs arnot to big .

Trial update....I used half of a 40 lb bag mixed with some sand I had in a bucket. I did this in 2 5 Gal buckets, added limbs and they sunk like a rock!! Ready to make more now!!

my take on the bamboo condos. Plan on sticking alot through a milk crate and then tie a length of rope to it and attach it to the handle of my bucket with 40 pounds of concrete in it. This way it will suspend off the bottom and you can set it at different depths depending on the lenght of rope you use
