A little latex paint on the cut ends will slow the drying down.
A little late in the season probably but I finally got around to pruning the peach trees and also cutting down some kind of trees that's been flirting with my electric lines out back of the house. I don't want this to go to waste so I'll be needing to rent me a trailer to haul them to the lake before too long. I know fresh cut is best since it's easier to sink since it hasn't dried out, any idea of how long I've got before they start to get too dry to sink?

That's what they do to logs they are going to saw so they will dry more evenly and not split the ends. It makes it dry through the bark
