Thread: Cedar stake buckets

This is my first attempt at stake buckets, and would like your opinion on these.

I have enough material to make several, but started out easy, with only 2. The wood is cedar, and the length on the longer pieces is around 6 feet, with a width of around 6 inches.

Do you guys think the stakes are too big/long ? Should I rip em in half lengthwise ?

I was able to get about 50 pounds of crete in each bucket. Should I supplement each with a sandbag ?
