Default hold brush down with wire or rope

Wire is so high these days and I have some 12" block and some brick left over. What is the best way to make a brush pile with these - any photos would be nice.

    Thanks

    Newblade,
We always have the heavy gauge aluminum wire around so thats what I use. I have also used nylon rope which some say will last a long time in the water as well. On each end of the log I use 5 gallon buckets, drill holes in them and run the wire or rope through the holes and tight around the log. That keeps the log off the bottom forever(unless someone runs over it) and gives the place for the crappie to get out of the sun.
    Just my thought. lol
Soak em if you got em

We use old copper house wiring, seperate 3 wires and triples the amount . If you use rope or cord hooks can be hung and lost .

As was said above, USE COPPER WIRE! You can find it for free at new home construction sites or purchace it at home depot. It's called ROMEX there are three pieces of wire per strand. Copper wire won't corrode ore decay and will last for a long time. The other benifit over rope is that you won't get hung up as easily.

Here's what I use. I go to the local cable TV company and get their scrap coax. It is free and durable to the max. It has worked great for a long long time. I cut the coax into 4' lengths and it is more than enough to anchor to cement blocks.

I take my cedars and bore a hole through the base, run the coax through the hole and through the concrete block and tie it securely. Now, it's ready to be dumped.

Find your location, throw out a marker and dump three trees around the marker in the shape of a triangle. When done, hold your gps over the marker and mark the spot, pull your marker and you're DONE!

I strive for the lowest cost alternative and you can spend the saving you make on stuff that REALLY counts...like your tackle box!
