With me it would be "Mr. Atlantic meet Mr. Glock". I take threats serious.
I had a guy come by when I was on a hot area last year and told me I caught all of his fish on the beds he put out. It was the end of the day and they had stopped so I just trolled on and back in to the dock.
I went out there this winter on my Rhino to check it out and it was two trees laying down in a row.
I learned my lesson about taking others to my spots. I took a good friend with me to a pond that only I fished and told him never come out without me. The next day I went out and him on three others were there and had about 20 bass and about 100 bluegill in the truck. I told them to put them back in dead or alive and never come around there or me again. I lost a good friend over being too trusting. Fishermen will go where the fish are.
I just hate the ambushers that will see you on a spot and move in within 10 feet of your spot and cast in while you are there. I will start up the big motor, blast the spot, and move somewhere else.
I respect others when they are on the spot but I might be there when they leave. As far as someone leaving a marker on my beds I just move it about 50 feet.
One of my favorite things to do is put out a maker in a dead area and watch all the people try it for half hour.:D
