    I put a pump in the bottom of a 2 1/2 gallon bucket. Drilled a hole close to the bottom for the discharge. Then filled with lava rocks (like the ones used for gas grills). An aquarium filter is sandwiched in-between.

    Clint, just talked to my buddy who got us the material for minnow tank filters. He got the blue colored stuff like I'm talking about out of the furnace filter section was in a 20X25. Been in my filter for 6 months no problem.
