Alright...Lets talk about this...how do they put these together and do they use blocks to sink them??

Looks like you can build the pvc structure from the bottom up. Cut holes in tubes and put on pvc and then put the top piece on. Not sure about weighting them but looks easy enough to attach a cinder block or two to it.

On youtube I didn't see any concrete blocks in their boat to sink these. Will they sink on their own weight if so won't they move with current. Just wondering how they anchor them or how many blocks to hold these. They look good should last might near forever. I wish Mississippi's (mdwfp) would start doing this I know some of the fisherman would also help them place them. By Monday I should know about how much it would cost to make one.
I am still trying to convince my wife and fishing partner (of 40 years) that it is cheaper to fish than to go to a fishcamp (what we call fish restaurants) to eat fish. I don't think she believes me though.
Brain started working...I hope!
So you build a square PVC box, without a top...cut holes in the corrugated, slide it over 2 PVC poles (triangulating) until full, then put the PVC top on...attach blocks and drop! Right??

Yep! That's what I see. Also, you may be able to put some rebar or conrete in the pvc pipes for weight maybe?
Scrat...let us know how much it may cost. I'd be interested to know. Thanks.

I just did a ruff estimate. They are going to cost around $125 to $135.00 each new and I did not figure blocks or anything to sink them. I used Lowe's prices. I think I can make a lot of other cheaper stuff myself.
Dang, guess I'll be hitting up my construction buddies for some pvc and black tube again! I want to try one but it seems like alot of labor also.
Hopefully Kansas is getting a discount if their planning to build that many...Toto can't afford that...me neither!lol
