The wood is Osage Orange/Hedge Apple...is should last forever in our fertile water!
I had enough to do 15 Osage buckets, 5 Osage/PVC buckets, and 10 buckets with other hardwood and Larger PVC Pipes.
The Crates are WALLEYE favorites and I have hundreds of these in the water....and they are as close to invisible as possible, they look like a rock!
They have 10 hole bricks in the bottom crate for crawdads, for some reason, craws love 10 hole bricks.
The other crates are loaded with bundles of fruit or hardwood limbs...the fruit is high in sugar and kicks off the mini ecosystem, drawing organisms and the bottom of the food chain. then minnows, baitfish, and fry show up, then the hunters show up!
According to depth the crates are stacked from 3 to 5 high!
