Default Can I get some thoughts on this please?

I should of in hind sight punched some holes in these buckets and stretched out some pvc through the bottom to use them as stabilizers, or rebar IDK. But I didn't so I think I'm just gonna nail some three ft pieces of two by fours to the bottom of the buckets to stabilize them. Any other idea's? Any comments or criticisms on my beds. I'm gonna dump the pvc and willow beds in close proximity along with some cedars I have stowed away down by the lake in around 25 fow. I'm thinking about pouring some dry dog food down the tubes of the pvc and caping the top with some small holes in them so they slow release the dog food. Any help counts thanks ahead of time.

I believe if you are trying to attract Catfish, then Dog Food is the way to go. If you are sinking for crappie, you don't need anything but structure.

always can come up woth being cats when it comes to dog food, wont really help attract any bait fish. after a month or so in the summer algae will start to grow and that will atrract enough baitfish to start a good hole

With you Structure being so tall so you can use it in deeper water. I would try to stablize your buckets to make sure they remain standing up. There is not a problem with sinking them, and getting them to hit the botom correctly, just toss them out. They work just like a arrow, with the weight acting a the point, and the pipe acting as the feathers. The problem will be if someone drags across them trolling or something like that. It will pull them over. This is how I attempted to keep mine up-right. Not sure it will keep trollers from pulling them over, but it does stablize the structure.

We used bamboo, but angle something downward to hit the ground about 4'-5' to the side on 4-6 sides. We use zip ties the secure the legs to the pipe or structure. Here's what it looked like on our Bamboo Structures. So far it has helped ours from falling over or being pulled over. This is just the frame work to our Boo Structures, then we add a little more boo, and toss it over the sides of the boat.

Just our thoughts on supporting the structure.
