These are 3/4" legs. So I am using a 2" Dry Wall screw, and running it through the legs, from the outside of the trunk, to the inside of the other side of trunk. I started out putting a screw on each side of the trunk, but then figured out how to do it with 1 screw.

I am fix'n to work on some buckets like the one that Crappie Texan listed above, except instead of boards, I'll be using PVC. I'll post some pics when I'm finished.

We have used these for years. We dish pans and when the concrete sets up you can pop the pan off to be used again. The crappie love them.Name: 9015930-R1-045-21.jpg

man, I see a lot of you guys that use these pvc structures with I assume a lot of success. I for one cant draw a fish to pvc. I have put out multiple sets of pvc made structures and caught a combined total of 2 catfish on them. I drop bamboo, cedar stakes, christmas trees, ANYTHING wooden and fish are on it in 10 days. What gives?

BTW, my PVC structures, many of them I made HUGE and just like you see above, are LOADED with algea and been out for 4 or 5 years....nuthin

These are old broken backa [sic] sticks in a cinder block with sack-crete poured in the holes. You can stack and pack a bunch in the boat.

I did these with old cedar linbs from a tree that fell down.

PVC is okay but I catch more fish off wood.

The same here! The State generally puts out two types of attractors. Cedar trees and spider blocks. Spider blocks are basically cinder blocks or other materials with the holes filled and plastic pipe sticking out of similar to KrappieKrazy's attractors, only larger.

The cedars will produce quickly, the plastic, not so much. In the last few years, they've added cedars to some of their spider blocks which improved them greatly. BTW, they put in green cedars and you can catch fish off of them within a week. The plastic will hold a few fish, but not the numbers cedar does.

It SEEMS using PVC slightly deeper (3-5`) than wood but close to it maximizes both, "complimenting" each other...
