Thats a good udea, and we tried that, but it uses more foam than is required to just hold the Boo Balls together. You are really looking to use enough foam to be touching all the limbs of the structure. Once it hardens, it is very solid. The more foam you use, the weight it requires to sink them. The Boo Balls we make can be pulled down by a 2 liter bottle field with cement. But you should adjust the making of the Boo Ball to fit your need.

Very different concept. Never would have thought of that.

Not sure on the Cans oz. But I normally get about 4-5 Boo Balls per can. But again. Little is More. You are looking to just put enough foam on the joint, to touch each piece. When it gets hard, it will strenghten the structure. It doesn't require alot, just enought to touch each piece. I normally get 6-8 Boo Balls ready, set them up the way I want them to look, then do the top half of the Boo Ball. Let them harden, then flip them over and do the other side. If you try to do the underside , gravity will cause the foam to fall off.

Just things I have learned to get the most for my money.

Set out 12 Boo Balls on Thursday. Basically set out a STAKE BED AREA with them. Much faster than a stake bed to. We built this spawning bed in about 15-20 minutes. Most of the Prep Work is done at home, but isn't that time consuming. We built these 12 Boo Balls in less than an hour. The thing we like about the Boo Balls is the fact you make the size fit your need. These Balls were 2'-3' tall, we tested some for suspending in deep water that was 6'-8' tall. Took a little more weight to get them down, but worked great, and the best part was they looked like schooling shad or bait fish on our sonar, and Side Scan. We are fixing to start making the 6'-8'ers to work the deeper water (17'-25'). Will let us have something to fish around, besides the standing timber, which is a visual structure. Everybody can find them whether you have the quality Sonars, SI or DI equipment. But we are kinda excited about these bigger Boo Balls. Even with the best Sonars, SI, and DI they look like schooling bait fish. We'll keep ya up with how that goes as summer heats up.

Getting ready for the spawning season. Took the Boo Balls to a shallow flat, just off a creek. Sunk one, and left about 3' in between, and sunk another. Covered about 100' of bank line. Going back today with another 15 Boo Balls. Going to set up 2 more spawning areas, about half the size as yesterdays. Boo Balls are 2'-3' tall, dropped in 3'-4' of water. We are hoping to be able to sit back off the Boo Balls, and cast slip boober rigs (Weedless) up into about a foot of water, and work back through the Boo Balls. Going out again today to set 2 more areas. Hope we don't get a bunch of rain. figure we can get another foot before the boo balls won't be in prime water. But we didn't feel we could wait any longer.

I've got 16 Boo Buckets made, and ready to put in the creek channels, right off of these flats. We'll set them in 10'-15' of water. Hoping to be able to hold fish in these areas until it starts heating up. Hope it works out, I just love it when a plan comes together.
