    Default Pvc/Wood trees

I measured a bunch of wood scrap down to 6ft lengths today....Me and Jason are going to build some of those pvc trees...But, we are going to mix wood and conduit pvc...Instead of just using pvc.......We are using 10ft pvc drainage pipe....Home Depot has it for just over 7 dollars per piece....

Me and Jason hope to start trimming the wood down next week....Probably going to have Talon help us out with design....He has built some in the past....Still not exactly sure what will be using to sink the pvc trees?

This will be the first time we have ever built...So, I am pretty anxious to see how they are going to turn out...

We will drop two per a spot.....

Have heard of placing the ribbed PVC into half (or partial) cement blocks and pour cement into the hole. The ribs will hold it TIGHT and to help it stand up as you add "limbs' put a plastic container with the cap screwed on VERY tightly between a couple of "branches'; the newer 1 liter pop bottles should work. DO keep in mind, to work, that cap needs to be CRANKED down TIGHT; also below 25? fow the water pressure will simply crush the container.

why mix the wood with PVC? Why pay for the PVC. Use all wood, cement bases, drop in lake, repeat process, THEN GO FISH!!!!

Today I measured off a bunch of wood scrap down to two different lengths...Four ft and six ft.....I am anxious to start building the pvc trees.....I hope to start cutting the wood down to the 6ft lengths and trim down to around 3/4 to 1in...I have still have a ton of wood on my utility trailer....Probably will work on measuring more off later this week..

Today I finished up measuring the rest of the wood that was left on my utility trailer.....It took me a while...But, I have all the wood marked down to 4ft lenghts and 6ft lengths...Should have plenty of wood for next years spring habitat drop at Lou Yeager...
