Don't know about the cane laws but that's a great job of brushing the blind John...we use cane and willow brush on our blinds...lasts all season

luv2fish, we cut the cane as close to the bottom as possible and try not to crack the cane. We then tie it on the the blind with wire. The picture above, that cane has been on the blind for 5 years has root balls the size of 2 recliners and sure beats the heck out of brushing it any more. By the time teal season rolls around the cane in front of the blind is 20-25 ft tall. We sut it back throw it on top and done brushing for the year.
