I agree boxes are a lot easier to get and work just as well. And when you drop the box in the water it will not last as long but the concrete will still be there. Good idea crappieday.

for some of us boxes are alot easyer to get then buckets. i have been using them along with buckets and they work great. just premix in another container and pour it in, plus they come in all sizes and shapes.

the algae will grow on almost anything, its not the bucket that makes it grow its the structure that you sink, the box or bucket is only used to hold the concrete
Ever seen a slick boat ramp? Algae will definitely grow on concrete.
Great Idea-and your right the algae will form on the concrete! The buckets are really just a container to hold it!!
