here in Missouri they start popping around the middle of April ( give or take) Give hunting them a try, gets you out in the woods and they are delicous.

Bud lite, Fried corn, Bud lite, collard greens, Bud lite, back-eyed peas, Bud lite, sweet corn bread, and a really cold Bud lite for desert. Startin to see a pattern?? For a real good change, soak your filletsover night in your favorite hot sause. Fry 'em up and go to town. You might want to try a really cold Bud lite with that. HeeHee.

    Fried crappie.
Fry 1 lb of Wright's Hickory smoked bacon until crispy. In the grease, add butter crisco, potatoes, onions, garlic salt & pepper. When potatoes are done, crumble the bacon in.

Mix egg, milk, and garlic salt & pepper. Moisten morels in wet mix then in dry mix (flour and garlic salt & pepper), repeat. Fry in peanut oil or butter crisco.

Add beer to cook and enjoy.
