Are you guy's really serious about sucking those crawfish heads? It would seem to me that there would be nothing in those heads but guts. They may or not be good but they don't seem very appetizing to me.
Can't eat em around here without head sucking. The two just go together.

It Is The Fat "the Yellow Stuff " Out Of The Head That Cajun's Love So Much That They Resort To Sucking The Heads For.we Leave The Rest Alone.now If You Are Making A Crawfish Bisque Then You Clean Every Thing Aout Od The Head Shell, wash That Shell Good And Then Stuff It With Crawfish Tails And Other Ingredients.cook It In A Sauce And Enjoy.
Is There Not A Fellow Cajun Or At Least Someone From Louisiana That Can Back Me Up On The Tradition!!!!!lol
Seems head sucking is odd to some. And thats okay!I dont suck em myself. But i have been told by those that do,beer drinking is the key to head sucking ---lots of beer lots of sucking! Now~~U~~~Know
I PRACTICE CATCH & FRY---DONT EVERYBODY ? Thumbs Up
Cajuns don't need anything but the crawfish; sucking the heads is an extra pleasure b/c most of the flavoring is in the heads. you don't really have to have beer, you can drink water, its the crayfish that you are eating.
I'M WITH YOU GATORGAR I'LL TAKE CRAWFISH WITH OR WITHOUT BEER,JUST SO I CAN HAVE THE CRAWFISH.ATE SOME TONIGHT AND THEY WERE GREAT.POLISHING SUPPER OFF WITH SOME BLUEBELL HOMEMADE VANILLA ICECREAM TOPPED WITH FRESH DEW BERRIES THE MRS AND KIDS PICKED YESTERDAY.I DON'T THINK IT GETS ANY BETTER THAN THAT!!!!!:D:p
hey fisherman i grew up in southwest arkansas and i can back you up on the tradition. used to go down to breaux bridge for the festival. seemed like it was every other yr though not every yr. still have freinds in la and love to visit for home cooked mud bugs. live in north carolina now and none to be found except frozen at grocery. good for etouffe and gumbo though.
