Thread: Great Afternoon at Bon Temp's House

Bon Temp's had a birthday, grandson graduating, other grandchildren graduating, etc. We were invited over with several other "Crappie Angler Friends" we all have shared experience with him to fast track him along with crappie catching skills. Well we didn't know what to expect,,,He said "Dress for a Hot Day". We got over to his house and his "Man Cave" was setup with a temp AC unit, food everywhere and I mean good food, New Orleans down in the Parish good food. I ate a good bit of everything from Fried Crappie, Egg Rolls, Grilled Eggplant, Crawfish Bisque, Shrimp & Eggplant Casserole, Fried Chicken, Rocky & Carlos style Baked Macaroni, stuffed Artichoke, etc. What I didn't eat was any boiled Crawfish because I embarrass myself sometimes the way I go after eating them so I left them alone. Wanted some, but knew I would be wearing Crawfish juice all over my white Crappie.com Shirt.

I tend to jinx ball games, been happening since I was a kid, yesterday I left another get together because the game was tied and everyone wanted LSU to win.

Back to today, I realized everyone was watching the LSU / Tenn game so before it got down to the wire we decided to leave. Bon Temps ask, "You want to take some Crawfish Home?" Of course I did! What I didn't expect was how good a Crawfish Cook Bon Temps is. Well I smoked one of the two pans of Boiled Crawfish here in less then 10 minutes. I was already very full from eating at his house. I can tell you the man can cook Crawfish! These were some of the best seasoned Crawfish I've eaten along with cooked perfectly. Peeled like a dream.
