Default Breakfast of Champions Again with Leftover Tamales

I brought the balance of the last tamales production test to CDC member P-Nut & his brother. Both are helping me out right now. Now for presentation when house guests are here I don't add the extra sharp cheddar cheese to the grits but wait to melt the cheese over the top in the broiler. Due to a fast arriving departure time I mixed the cheese with the grits in the pot.

I reheated the tamales with steam before dropping in the grits. Again I'm in a hurry so I didn't position the tamales perfectly.

Normally scrambled eggs are used as the tamale topping but I really like the egg yoke mixed with my tamales & grits.

I dropped these eggs on top with haste too.

I like my Street Sauce on top so I put a good bit on before digging in.

Look at the Damage! I hope we get together and pound some tamales someday.

You mentioned that before I just forgot. Sounds better with grits and fried eggs. I have a few tamales in the freezer and bet frying them would be better all day than steaming for breakfast.............thanks

crispy a bit on the outside is really a nice touch for a tamale , thought my wife was crazy the first time she dropped them in a pan on the stove one fine morning a few years ago until they hit my lips ......just saying
