    are just Christmas cookies made by a Mexican .....just saying

    Yep, grew up with those in far West Texas - 600 miles west of Ft. Worth. Still make those Polvorones from scratch during the winter, nice sugar cookie treat. Unfortunate I can't get the real vanilla extract here - our government doesn't care for the alcohol content. The Chicano's make the best. Crunching on the outside and chewy in the middle.
