Originally they were made with venison, but thinly sliced steak works well also. Very easy to cook. The prep does take some time. It consist of a thin slice of meat rolled around a spoonfuls of cream cheese and a few pickled jalapeno slices wrap a slice of bacon around the meat and then cook in the smoker or the oven. I start out in the pellet smoker at 350 degrees and then transfer to the convection oven until the bacon is at the desired doneness. Absolutely delicious Name: 20231018_172511.jpg

Yum, that’s something I could eat the whole plate of. Bacon, cheese and jalapeño are perfect for every meal, snack and everything in between.
