Default Not Cooking, Figs-Eating Right off the Trees

I had to see how many Fig Lovers we have here. All our Fig trees froze to the ground this year. Several I pulled up with my Backhoe and Potted in 25gal Pots. This is the first Black Mission Fig to start ripening. We will need a knife.

Beautiful fig. My grandparents had a couple varieties of figs planted at their house and we tried to get it but my uncle ended up with the place. My grandmother made the best fig preserves. Haven’t had any figs since they passed away in 2020. Well I’ve had a couple fig newtons but do they really count? Lol

I love figs. I really started enjoying them in the Middle East. Preserves are the best

    I have lots of figs.
Glad to see another fig hound.
PPG has lots of figs too.
When my nieces and nephews were small.
They came to our house, they always asked if we had any Pig jam they could take home! LOL
Of course they never left empty handed.

Beautiful fig! Haven’t had any figs for several years. Been thinking about planting one to have my own. Can you tell me how hard are they to grow? I’m from North Carolina. Thanks ✝️

Need to keep a keen eye out for squirrels. They take one bite out of that one, a bite out of the other one, and so on. My fig tree isn’t doing very well.
Maybe they will bite this one……
