    Default 15 Minute Shrimp Tacos

Well I like surprises and we received one yesterday from a friend I did a favor for. He dropped off a gallon of fresh oysters and a gallon of peeled 21-25 shrimp. Since I'm currently reworking a wrap around T-Top Riser Sunbrella Canvas for another friend I just stopped long enough to cook, eat, and clean up. This is a real down and dirty quick lunch. Using a black iron skillet a 1/2 a stick of salted butter was dropped in the hot skillet first to reduce the water content. Afterwards 2 Tbls of the Weber Chipolte seasonings was added and cooked for a minute before adding the shrimp. I filled the skillet but as you can see the two of us demolished the shrimp. I cooked the shrimp fairly high temp to reduce the liquid content and thicken the liquid remaining.

Using taco stands I warmed the Tortillas in the microwave till good and warm, dropped them in the stands, included a handful of shredded White American cheese then adding the shrimp till overflowing.

A bit of shredded Butter lettuce, some sliced tomatoes, and purple onions to dress for success.

Here is a quick picture of the canvas. When reworking all the hardware has to be replaced. It takes quite a bit of time since every snap has to be drilled out, tears must be patched, and all new mounting hardware on the canvas and on the boat must be replaced before reinstalling. I also Plastic Polish buff out the Strada-Glass back clear.
