You have to fix a smash burger patty melt. Pure awesomeness between two slices of buttery fried bread. Name: 20220409_190031.jpg

Used the Micanopy method with the Lodge Griddle. The Pizza pan would work well also although it doesn't fit on the grill very well

Very nicely done. I bet those were great. No need for a huge griddle top grill thingie taking up half the garage when you can just lay your cast iron griddle on top of the grill.

That griddle looks to be well seasoned. I finished up sanding and seasoning all my stuff and it turned out pretty nice. Not teflon slick just yet, but if I keep cooking on it they will get there. They do clean up easily though and that more than anything else was important to me. Now I take the HOT pan and run it under HOT water and the stuff just kind of lifts away. Don’t use cold water, has to be hot or you can crack the iron. Then I hit it with a plastic bristle brush scrubber do hickey thingie and wipe dry with paper towels and a quick application of oil and done. Stuff shines like a mirror almost.

You are a prety good chef aren’t you ?
Maybe they will bite this one……

On a skillet if it has some stuck on bits. While on the heat I take a cup of water and a flat ended bamboo spoon. Same operation as deglazing a pan. Rinse when done, dry and oil. All ready for next time

Like them better than regular burgers. Certainly best when the cheese is put on after the first flip.
