Thread: Punishment

For fishing 2 days this week my punishment was I had to fix supper for the wife. If the shoe was on the other foot I would have gotten a frozen pizza. She wanted strip steak, baby potatoes/ baby bella mushrooms, a bagget and lobster tails. A small price to pay for 2 great days of fishing.

Good Combo for me, the leftover potatoes make great breakfast burritos. We buy the little golds to dice up and crust in iron for breakfast often.

Told the wife next time I wilk cut them in halves or quarters so the edges can get crispy

we get bags and bags of them lil golden babies for free on these here local give food away stops
wife has now gotten her name on the free food list and goes once a month , no requirements need to be met .
just show up and they load one month's worth of great eats in you trunk ....
love frying them up in the am with some onions myself .....mmmmm yum

I have learned to cook over the years. I can usually do better than most restaurants. She does make me take her out occasionally. Most times the food is not good

I like the potatoes smashed but cut into pieces will get them crispy as well.

since we have a smoker and outdoor griddle now, the cooking has partially transferred to me. agree with dock shootin jack, ours is better than most $100 plates!

A griddle will be one of my next things to put outside.
