    but I think we actually went 8 ....layers that is ......
    good stuff for sure , my customer at work makes chips .
    fresh super thin triangle corn chips and this dip ......mmmmm
    and YES I add fresh diced serrano to mine after the images with a touch of chipotle sauce too ....
    kick it up a notch rite .....

    try it next time you have a party or lots of mouths that need a large snack , It seems to be a "greek" recipe that has been modified to american standards, the actual recipe varies from table to table on what 7 layers are used , but the first 4 hold pretty stable in most recipes .
    we use mild salsa in ours and make it bland so that it wont set fire to any unsuspecting individuals , i add heat to mine after i plate it .
