Well let’s keep this grilling party going with some more meat cooked over fire. The new neighbor came over earlier today offering surplus fresh veggies from their garden. Beans, green peppers and a couple cukes...heck yeah.

Very nice, and of course I gave them some extra frozen Crappie fillets back as a belated welcome to the neighborhood. No trades...why that is just not allowed!!
Anyway, tonight’s weather has not changed from last week, just drier and hotter, 97 feels like temp this afternoon. Dang charcoal just lit itself.

I had a small piece of sweet onion left from some burgers and threw that in the skillet when the Sirloin joined in.

A couple flips, a cold beer, a quick check on Crappie.com and the meal was coming together nicely. Medium on the steak said the Thermapen, and with a foil covering I expected about a 5 degree climb to the wife’s preferred steak temp.

Plated, the Taters tonight were covered with cheese, bacon bits, ranch and ketchup, veggies took a dip also and the steak turned out just right for my tribe. Enjoy the cook, and check out Skeetbums 6 Pack Bluegill plate on the Florida board, made me drool even after I ate this!
