    Default Flour Hushpuppies

There's a fish place close to home that makes some good hushuppies but they seem to have very little corn meal in them. They are super fluffy almost more like bread. Anyone have any recipe's like this? I've tried to recreate them but just cant seem to get it right.

I just use Jiffy Cornbread mix and add flour, less milk, onions and whatever seasoning I'm using on my fish like Zatarains.

Thanks for the input guys! I think I finally figured it out tonight. 1/2 cup self rising flour, 1/4 cup self rising white cornmeal, 2 tblsp sugar, 1 small onion chopped, egg and milk. This made about a dozen or so hushpuppies.

Use cornmeal but replace most of your milk with beer. Will make them light and crispy
