Absolutely. A lot of the restaurants use shredded cabbage.
A mexican joint up the street fried their fish in small bite size strips. It was pretty good too.
I think tacos are a hard one to mess up. Just a good change of pace from fried fillets.

Tried this recipe last night and it was quite delicious.

We tried corn tortillas and flour tortillas - the corn tortillas broke apart quite easily.

    Very tasty stuff.

    Here are some pics:

    Cheers.

Awesome. Thanks for posting some pics Skinny.
AND serving it up with some margaritas. That's how to do it right!

That blacken smoke will take your breath away won't it!?!?! :D

Your seasoning looks really dark and heavy compared to the stuff I use. Mine is super spicy so I couldn't use that much of it. I have to barely coat mine or else I can hardly eat the tacos it so damn spicy!
    And I like spicy stuff!

    Thumbs up Gotta Endorse It!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4th time I made em, thanks Brian.
First time I didn't blacken, just seasoned & fried em gentle. Have used all kinds of tortillas & taco shells. I have this thing about storing food in zip-locks, I zip it almost shut then hermetically seal the bag to my mouth & suck the air out & seal. Found out what the cardboard wedge is for that comes in a box of pkged hard shell tacos. I put 4-5 remaining taco shells in bag, sucked, & immediately imploded all the shells, split em all in half at the fold.
No disater, anyone ever had taco pie? Crushed tortilla chips an ingredient (and got plenty leftover fish, pico de gallo, etc...

Thats very good i didn't have the stuff to make blackend fish . so Just added my own spices of salt, black pepper, lemon pepper , ground red chile pepper.

Broiled in the oven on broil 10 minutes on one side fliped the fillets over broil five minutes on the other side and they are done

taste great thanks for the idea.
