bacon adds great flavor in many food, i think i will give this a try, it does sound good
thanks for the recipe
This is pretty basic but it really will give you some delicious baked crappie, if you enjoy baked fish.
I take several crappie fillets and SPARRINGLY sprinkle them with:
Seasoning Salt
Garlic Salt
Garlic Powder
Paprika
Pepper
I then use spray butter or regular tub butter and butter the bottom of the pan and put a good amount of extra butter in there for the fish to absord.
Get some Black Label Maple Bacon or your favorite bacon and depending on the size of the fillets, wrap each piece seperately or weave the bacon over the fillets.
Bake on 350 for 17-25 minutes and enjoy. Pretty basic stuff but it's really delicious!

It is also very good on the grill also.
We tried this the other night. Just laid a strip of bacon on each fillet. Used the oven broiler and it was great. Thanks.

We eat lots of Crappie, always fried, I think I will try this next time. Thank you!

Gonna try this recipe this weekend too, along with sac-a-lait's recipe for crappie cakes. I'll let you guys know how it turns out with bass/crappie/bluegill fillets. Sure sounds good.

Tried this recipe tonight & it was excellent. Next time, I'm going to chop up a smaller amount of bacon & sprinkle it on the fillets instead of wrapping them with a whole strip.
