    Default Breading mix recipe


    Try this.

    1 cup of club crackers ground fine in blender.
    1/2 cup of Masa (Corn Flour)
    1 tbls ground dried dill
    1 tbls Old Bay seasoning
    salt
    pepper

    Mix well and coat Crappie fillets well then fry until dark golden brown in 375 degree oil.

    NEVER TRUST A SKINNY COOK!

    Will it work for baking fish, trying to stay away from fried as much as possible. I going to try it in the oven.

    Just finish off a mess of fish... It was prefect hit for my tribe... The last 6 filets i added some slap UR mama to it... the batch did 24 filets... We'll do it again for sure... Thanks for the recipe

    bowhunter012463, it sure will that's very close to a favorite receipe of mine. I add a couple of heaping tablespoons of grated Parmesan then heat up some Olive oil and add a bit of Smart Balance butter or something similiar. Drizzle the oil over your filets and bake at 400* for 15 minutes or until brown let cool then remove and enjoy. Healthy for you too.
