A guy told me about this 4or5 years ago and I thought I would share it.Alot of you may already know about it. It's not crappie but catfish ribs.When you filet a catfish and cut out the ribs save them and bread em up and fry them. They call them sideboards,I tried them they are good and I like to fry them up first when I am having a big fish fry and let the folks eat them as apetizers while I am cooking the rest. I don't know if you can do this with crappie ribs or not,never tried that but I probably will.
I will have to give that a try. I fillet all of my catfish and throw away the ribs. As a matter of fact, I am cooking 40#'s of catfish filets I had in the freezer Sat. evening with a few fresh Buffalo ribs for my Sunday school class. I never get enough of it.
