    The type oil does not bother me but things to remember are: do not get it too hot, do not burn what you are cooking, keep the crumbs in the bottom of the pan to a minimum, keep it clean by straining after each use, and monitor the taste to make sure it does not get old.

    Nobody mentioned Corn Oil. I just had a fry and man was that catfish and bluegill delicious! Hope I didn't do nothing wrong using Corn Oil!
