This a great recipe, and glad it was posted. I am going to try it next time with a bit of dill.
going to do this weekend at the cabin, think I will add minced garlic to the butter on top, otherwise it looks great!

Fishing is a privilege...catching is a bonus. Enjoy each precious moment we have to experience our great outdoors!
we took fresh caught crappie and sauteed them in pan olive oil and butter plus minced garlic, epic. then took ones leftover for fish taco's next day.
Trying this recipe tonight for guests, with minced garlic added on top. BTW do you know this is the same recipe I use on venison steaks? but sautee it instead and it is so awesome my boys literally fight over the last couple of pieces!
I made it with italian panko and lemon pepper and it was gobbled up by my friends who are crappie fishermen and their wives and everyone loved it. Had asparagus and a vinegar cole slaw with it and it was terrific. pics on here as seperate thread as i am still trying to figure out how to post to right places
Sounds good
And with that, I'll see you on the water...

More than worthy of a bump. Truly a fantastic dish! I didn't fix near enough fillets for my wife and myself.
Made it tonight, used regular Panko and Cavenders seasoning. Turned out good, I tried some using aluminum pan and will not do that again they stuck pretty bad. Are you guys using Parmesan cheese in the shake bottle or fresh shredded cheese.
We use the shake bottle. Also cook 16-17 min to get golden brown. This has become our favorite way to fix crappie.
ground parmesean shake bottle for breading mix then shredded mozerella? on top last few minutes to top it off. everyone loves this recipe.
