Default How to make ice cream in a baggie

I just found this, so I haven't had the chance to personally give it a try. If someone does before I do, please post your results. I thought this would be good to have since many camp, and having a freezer isn't always an option, not to mention the fact I love ice cream I suppose you could add fruit or whatever flavor syrup to it for flavoring.

    Combine 2 tablespoons of Sugar
    1 Cup Half and Half
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
(combine all together in a pint size zip lock bag, seal tightly)

Place 1/2 cup coarse salt (table salt is also fine) in a half gallon size Ziploc bag, then fill halfway with ice cubes.

Place the sealed smaller bag inside the bigger bag of ice and salt, seal big Ziploc.

Shake the bags until the ice cream mixture hardens, about 5-6 minutes.

Smaller bag will harden up into ice cream, when it does you are done.

Take it out, serve it up and enjoy!

I've done the same thing with a large and small coffee can when the kids were small. Same theory, 'cept they could roll the can. (I taped it shut with duck tape and never had a toxic spill.) Was really good!

My wife teaches and has done this with her kids. It works great and the kids loved it.
