Default My first attempt at fish tacos

turned out pretty decent. I checked out out few recipes and then cobbled together my own version. I took an envelope of taco seasoning mix (low sodium) and mixed with lemon juice (would've used lime, but was out), a little water and a little canola oil then marinated the crappie fillets for about 30 minutes then cooked in a HOT skillet. Opened a bag of slaw mix and dressed it with a mix of vinegar, honey, a little oil, cumin and a pinch of chipotle powder. I mixed up some plain greek yogurt, a little mayo, finely chopped onion, lemon juice, salt and cumin. A hot flour tortilla rolled up with fish, slaw and the "white sauce" - yum!

Sounds good, wished I could been there to give it a try. Did a simple taco, fried the fish with a coating of flour, taco shell, lettuce, tomato and store bought Margaritamild salsa. Was good but need to improve the mix. Have purchase flour tortillas for next time, and plan to use cabbage slaw and season the fish.
