How many fillets?

I'm doing a fish fry this afternoon. How many crappie fillets (each fish was about a lb or thereabouts) should I prepare for 6 people. These things ain't big.

A pound fish should be a pretty decent fillet. I seldom ever clean anything bigger than that. We eat fish at least once a week. Four fillets a piece would be plenty if we were sitting down to a dinner. If I was in the back yard with some buddies screwing around, you might double that, especially if there are adult beverages being consumed.

Just don't eat half of them while your cooking them

Wife and I went out Sunday afternoon and kept 7 of the larger ones, only one or two was what I would call a slab

I fileted them and it seemed that was perfect for the two of us, none left but a full belly with no problem

Had we had more we would have eaten more

I am saying 3-4 fish pp is fine

Wednesday I kept 6. Smallest being right at 9" and biggest at 13". It was the perfect amount for me and my fiancé paired with some Mac and Cheese.
