    Well, call me strange but I've always eat'n my crappie whole. (because i don't know how to fillet). And I've never eat'n any filleted crappie.

    if you are trying to cook bigger crappie whole you will find it takes em a long time to get done. if you gash the fish to the backbone from top to bottom on each side about every inch or so down each side, they will cook a lot faster
    listen with your eyes---its the only way to beleive what you hear...

    If I had "hole crappie or any fish", I'd wonder what was making the holes in the fish way before thinking about eating any of them!
