Alegro Game Tame is my pick. Has the spices of others without the salt. Marinate deer meat 2-4 days then do jerky Great stuff. Works in l other places well too.

My dear mother used to trim off sinew (silver stuff ) and cut cross ways into 1'' steaks. Beat them with meat hammer or small plate edge. Flour with salt and pepper to taste. Fry in cast iron skillet using small amount of Bacon Grease or Canola oil. Make milk gravy in the pan after frying and serve with biscuits and mashed potatoes!

That's the way my mother does it too. It's hard to beat.
