One day just before Christmas my mother was very, very busy trying to get everything done. She had locked herself in the guest room to finish wrapping presents. I kept coming to the door with first one question then another. Finally she said for me to run along and play. I said, but mom I’m bored I don’t have anything to play with! She said for me to turn my front pants pockets inside out. When I responded that I had done as she told me. She quickly opened the door and with her scissors she cut my pockets off. Then she said, now you have something to play with leave me alone.

My mother bought for my wife and I an ornament that she was so proud of for our first Christmas as our first Christmas as Mr. and Mrs.
She picked it out in the store, my stepdad looked at it, presented it to my wife and everyone was all happy about it.
Then they handed it to me and I read it...
"Our first Christmas as Mrs. and Mrs."
They were pure shocked and didn't believe me until they took a closer look.
It will now and always hang on our tree because of the laugh that we all got.

Going to grandma's was always fun.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE! A family tradition for us is the see who is the first person in the family tells the rest of the family “ MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE”! Of course there is that one that sends it out on messenger or text at 1201. Then you start seeing made up rules to follow, which nobody follows. We have family all over Texas, Colorado, and Tennessee. All the family gets involved and the ones that don’t get pestered till you hear from them. Then, Christmas Day it starts all over again!
