    One Christmas we had a 7ft white Christmas tree. We like it so much we left it up after Christmas, when it got close to Valentines Day we decorated it with red hearts and flowers. Next came St. Patrick’s Day so green clovers and ornaments were in order. Then a colorful array of flowers adorned it until fall when an autumn theme carried it to Christmas again. Quite a most complimented display throughout the year whenever guest visited.

    Many years ago, long before Christmas, I started collecting a few select boxes from my local grocery store. Then when I began wrapping Christmas presents I removed the contents of the gift from their original box and placed them in one of my collected boxes. The look on the gift recipients face when they unwrapped a box labeled Kraft Macaroni and Cheeseor or one of the other brands I used we’re worth it. It really slowed down the children and made them open the entire gift, not just unwrap it quickly, toss it aside and go onto the next one.
