Wow, there are so many memories. From my youth sitting on the stairs half the night waiting on daylight to get to open presents, to my military service days where I missed many Christmas celebrations with family due to work but still celebrated by serving meals in the chow hall, bringing young Soldiers to our home to have a meal and presents. Now with Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren it’s looking forward to their visit to share special times and give them memories for their lifetimes as well.
For my my wife and I it’s Christmas Day together after attending Christmas Eve services. We get up when we want to, exchange gifts, share a meal and enjoy our day together as we were separated many years by service in foreign lands. Both of us know and celebrate the birth of a savior who provides the world with the promise of eternal life in heaven when our time on God’s earth and our ministry of giving, helping, sharing on earth is done.
