The day I caught this was one of my best days fishing ever! Almost every cast I was bringing one in. Nothing of any size much but a joy to catch. I even remembered to get photos for the BnM contest that was going on that month. Would love to have one of those days and take my family especially my daughter. Love to see and hear her get excited!

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

Well not to many memories to recall, Growing up, and being the youngest of four, by 6 yrs, living in the desert SW, not to many opportunities to fish. Dad was consumed with work, and his sports (bowling, and Veterans clubs), and older brother thought I was a nuisance. At 19 I went in the service and didn't fish at all for quite a few years. Guess I am trying to make up for lost time now though as that's what I think about most, going fishing...

My wife and I went catfishing one night on my pontoon and I was kneeling down taking a fish off and had my headlamp on to see what I was doing. The next thing my wife sees is me falling backwards because a bat was trying to get bugs and smacked me right in the head!!! Scared the crap right out of me. We still laugh about that night.

One morning, fishing the boat stalls of our dock, I had caught 5 redbreast when I had to leave for a dentist appointment. Since I already had them on a nylon stringer I just tied it to a catwalk until I could return. When I came back I found that a 4ft. cottonmouth had swallowed my entire catch and could not get off the stringer. No, I wasn’t happy. So I weaned that snake from ever eating mine or anyone else’s catch.
Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.
