Default Cane Pole's Boat of the Month Contest - September sponsored by Outlet Bait & Tackle

Post pictures of your boat with as many details as you care to include. And Cane Pole (and company) will select a winner. We will do this every month (unless the gewber forgets), and then at the end of the year we will select a "Boat Of The Year".

So, you can submit and resubmit your boat each month you don't win, and add additional details that might help it win the next month over the course of the year. The more details, and pics, and cool things you document, the better the chances are to get selected. The monthly winners will receive a prize pack, as will the "Boat of the Year".

*This includes kayaks and canoes. Whatever you float in...

No entries yet????? Well I will re submit this one on behalf of my grandson, he would love to add to his tackle box.....

This is by no means a fancy boat with lots of extra accessories but it has a unique story with a lesson.

Back about 1987 my 7 year old son wanted a fishing boat and I thought if he learned to earn money to buy a boat it would teach him a life lesson. So all that summer he and I collected soda return money from the .10 deposit and at the end of that summer we collected the needed $200.00 to buy the old Aerocraft boat.
Years went by and the old boat got passed on to my brother who used it and kept it under cover, recently he moved and asked my son (who is now 37 and has a son) if he'd like the boat back.....my son said yes and was about to teach his son a life lesson.

The little guy in the picture is my 9 year old grandson Aiden, my son asked me if Aiden could "work" for me some this summer and at the end I was to give Aiden the boat as a learning tool that hard work has its reward.

This old boat has taught 2 generations life lessons......I wonder if someday it will be passed to the next generation

    Default New to me

Since I fish for both crappies and stripers, I decided to buy this boat and rig it to be comfortable doing both. At the present, it has Wally Marshall rod holders in the rear for long lining and Attwood single rod holders down both sides for down lining. It has already caught hundreds of both and I am looking forward to many good years of companionship from her. I haven't named her yet. Ideas?

As I get time, I have a bunch of goodies to install to make her even better. (downriggers, hi

We gotta get this thread going, so I will post a couple shots of my OLD boat. The story goes like this. I had a whim about three years ago that I wanted to start fishing again after a 30+ year hiatus. I started checking Craigslist for CHEAP boats, like a Jon. Long story short, I met a couple about 45 minutes away to look at a boat. I had never even driven one! After a test run ( I just rode, because I didn't trust myself), I offered $1650 and they accepted it. It's old, faded, scratched, and runs like a top! Over the past three years, I have had it all over TN and part of GA. I'm not afraid to put it right in a blow down, and we have had a blast! I even quit a three times a week golf habit to go crappie fishing!Name: IMG_0699.jpg

My ride.1992 Tracker DEEP V 17. Old and scratched but still can do the job. Repowered last year with the Suzuki 50.hp. I=Pilot trolling motor. Rod holders on both sides , with option to move 6 of em to front for pushing jigs. Plenty of nitestalkin stuff aboard. And my two favorite stickers on the windshield. Crappie.Com and Clemson Tigers.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!
