My most favorite Christmas gift was born in a manger!

Best Christmas gift cost me 2 nickels. A nickel per rod and reel. My grandpaw told me 60 years ago that nothing in life was free.
One is a Pflueger TRUMP trademark 1943 made in the USA on a bamboo rod. The other is a Bronson Fleetwing No 2475 made in
the USA on a steel rod. Both still have his line on them, one with monofilament and the other some kind of cloth line (black). He
fished for catfish and crappie. All of his 11 children were taught to fish for their food. All of my uncles tried to buy the rods and reels from me over the years but I hung on to them. All of them have passed now, but the rods and reels are still with me and not for sale.
Loved to fish with my grandpaw. He taught me patience. Be still and pay attention son. You might just catch a big one for supper.
The rods and reels have been in my possession for 60 years. Best 2 nickels I ever spent.
